Massage at Work
It has been proven time and again that a stressed employee is a less productive employee. As an employer, you also need to be aware of your obligations towards your employees' health; not only stress, but also RSI and other postural problems.
Human beings weren't built to sit in a stationery position for hours and hours on end, and yet we do. Repetitive Strain Injury occurs not only in desk workers, but also in other environments such as warehouses and on building sites.
In just a few minutes, the meditation, relaxation and gentle acupressure of a seated massage can work wonders.
Cortisol (the stress hormone) levels are significantly reduced, which allows the brain (and entire body!) to function more efficiently. Problems then become easier to navigate, relationships with fellow employees are improved. Stress, depression and anxiety can all be significantly lowered through a short 10-20 minute massage.
Tight muscles are eased, and massage makes the process of identifying potential problems much quicker, which can save a lot of pain and disruption to work patterns down the line.
Employees who have received regular massages at work have reported an improvement in sleep, a decrease in headaches, and lower blood pressure.
Not to mention the "brownie points" you get as an employer. It's a great way to show your employees that they are valued, part of a team, and that their health and wellness is important to you.
Our style of massage in the workplace is a seated (clothed) massage that is designed to provide relaxation and meditation, before leaving the person energised and ready to go.
Our Massage at Work consists of:
Either 5-10 minutes of massage (head, shoulders, upper back, arms, hands and neck) at their desk; or
A 15 minute massage in our specialist chair in a separate quiet space (usually a private meeting room).
Prices will depend on location, hours booked and how many people will be treated, but as a general guide we charge $80-110 / hour for Corporate Massage.
